Nicholas is a trusted legal advisor to investors, family-owned, early and late-stage ventures, and subsidiaries of multi-national organizations. In addition to strategic transactional advice, he provides “general counsel” services providing day-to-day operational, contract negotiation and review, dispute resolution, and human resources advice. He takes pride in providing business-practical legal advice to his clients recognizing operational risks and rewards are intertwined. Representative work includes but is not limited to, representation of early and late stage venture funded start-ups from angel rounds to acquisition, general counsel advice to private and public enterprises with operations throughout North America and Asia-pacific, and providing advice to several successful independently operated and licensed Cannabis retailers in the Province of Ontario.
Recognizing the importance to give back to his community, Nicholas is a past board member of the national charity AboutFace and is currently a member of Lawyers Feed the Hungry, Peel-Halton Chapter.
